The bible states " serve God in worshipful fear and reverent Awe"

    "worshipful fear"—obedience due to fear of consequences

    "reverent awe"—being amazed and awestricken in a type respectful manner.  


  2. "Fear" is being afraid, being scared. "Worshipful fear" means you worship God, but in a scared sort of way, because he can send you to h**l any time He wants. (Oh, Christianity is so happy.)

    "Awe" is amazement, when you stare at something in wonder. "Reverent" means "pious," or "devout" or "religious." So "reverent awe" would be being religiously amazed at something.
