  1. "When you play poker for real money the poker rooms take a fee which normally is from 3-5% of each pot. This fee is called the "rake" and while the cost may seem small, for someone who plays a lot the rake can amount from hundreds all the way up to tens of thousands of dollars per month.

With rakeback you get a percentage (usually around 25-35%) of these fees returned to you each month."

  2. a rake has already been explained above - but i think a rakeback is where you as an affiliate offer to give some money back to players that signup under your affiliate code.  offering a rakeback scheme is a big No No and will see you banned from casino affiliate programs.  That's what i understand it to be anyway - but i could be wrong :)

  3. Rakeback is a percentage of the generated rake (about 25-135 per cent). Poker prop deals are frequently the deals that offer gamblers over 100 per cent rake return and that means that they pay these persons to gamble.

  4. First of all the rake is the amount the house takes out of pots which is how they make their money.  They also pay affiliates to sign players up which can either be a lump sum or a percentage of the rake that the player generates.  Some sites offer players a percentage of their profits on the player's rake as an incentive to sign up at a particular site through them although you have to be a new signup at the particular site otherwise the affiliate doesn't get credit for you and then can't pay you.  Also the deal with the affiliate has to be explicit where they tell you that they will give you a certain percentage of the rake you generate and then they track you and arrange for you to be paid periodically.
