  1. I think you talking about "raiu" 雷雨. "raiu" is made up of the characters for "lightning"/"thunder" (雷)and "rain" (雨). It's used to refer to thunderstorms.

    Basically, the weather people are saying "watch out for (heavy) rain and lightning". "Raiu ni ki wo tsukete kudasai".
