What does reciprocate mean?

In a song the lyrics were like

"I'm sorry if you feel that I'm being kinda mental,

But you left me in such a state.

But now I'm gonna do what you did to me,

Gonna reciprocate."

Its a song..about a guy who couldn't "satisfy" his girlfriend..

so its basically saying that she will do what he did to her
