  1. SHops are retail - ie clothes, cds etc.

    Non specialist ordinary shops

  2. Retailing involves, Display, Demonstration, and convincing buyer to buy the product from that out let.

Retail Out Let, of any large Multi National Company or may be a Shop in a corner, down the Street, or in big Mall, or Large Store, selling Clothes, Consumables, or Car.

Retailing also involves documentation, such as Cash Memo, Delivery Challans & Invoicing, Stock Keeping, Attending to complaiants (i.e., After Sales Service) etc.

  3. Hi Raiza, this could be very complex question.Retail covers the sale of stock from multi national companies like Asda/Walmart to the little corner shop and everything and speciality in between.

If its corner shop then it deals with the supply of goods for the local area, some of which may be specialised depending on the community.

Also involved is all the paperwork and record keeping for stock in and out, damages, returns from customers etc if applicable.

Its a very wide ranging question, I hope this has been of some help
