What does runner for law office do?

I more then likely have a part time job as a runner for a law office. I was just wondering what runners generally do and if itsd a good way to get your foot in the door for full-time jobs and better paying ones. thanks

Everything from making coffee, getting supplies, filing documents at the courthouse, taking/getting documents from other law firms, making copies, taking lawyers car to get an oil changes...every odd job imaginable.

Your attitude and friendliness while performing these tasks will get your foot into a lot of doors.
