What does running/jogging actually do for you?

I started jogging and I wanna know what it does for you? Like what does do for your body?

  2. Well, it helps you you lose weight, it could also boost your self-confidence, make new friends, increases your energy level/stamina, relieves stress, enjoy your times of being outside, and over all, live a healthier life style =).

    Congrats on getting started!  The longer you stay with running, the more it will do for you!

    Including:

    -reduce weight around your entire body

    -increase endurance for other sports

    -increase productivity, clearer mind

    -stabilize and improve mood

    -prevent or minimize a number of heart related diseases

    -the research isn't absoute, but there are indications it can help you avoid a number of other illnesses

    -may, or may not, help you live longer; if not longer, at least live with a higher quality of life

    -with this additional interest, increase the opportunities for additional friends

    -open an opportunity for competition

    -open the doors to enjoying outdoor life in ways that you previously couldn't imagine

  5. It doesn't do alot for my body, except nearly kills me.

  6. gets you fit, great cardio and weight loss, make sure u vary it up though, ur still helping ur body a lot even if u dont, but if u wanna see max results, sprint for a few seconds, then jog for a minute, etc, change the pace
