What does sand taste like?

All you require is a sand and tongue. I guess these are not hard to find.

Sandy and bitter. it's not especially salty.

Ofcourse it denpends on where the sand is from (beach sand or grit etc).

Sand is nothing but ground rock, which is tasteless.  If you fins sand with a flavor, then it is other sediments you are tasting, not the sand itself.

Sea salt, chemicals, bio waste.....all sorts of other yummy things will "flavor" that sand to your liking.  Comes in many repulsive flavors, make sure you try them all.

All that stands out to me was that it was gritty and a pain to wash out. I was horseback riding, and when I fell off, basically face right down on the sand :\
