A script is your written text of the play.

It's the whole play on paper commonly used for rehearsal.

It has character lines on there and the emotions that are supposed to be portrayed.

Your script is one of your most important assets in play-production.

It has:

- Dialogue

- Important blocking (blocking that is pertinent to performance, that is-- blocking that makes no difference is made according to how the director and actor in question see fit).

- Miscellaneous Prop Notes

- Costume Notes

- Setting Notes

And a host of other properties that make a "play", a "PLAY!"

If you're performing a musical, your script should come with a libretto either attached inside or somewhere outside of the script.
