What does shared ignorance mean?

I have to explain the definition but i have no clue what it means!

It means that something was flubbed because both parties were ignorant.

It means someone asked for help from someone else. The second person hadn't a clue but made something up and the other person totally believed it. As a result, the ignorance was shared.... usually not a good situation.
