Six degrees is the steps from one person to another. It started as a joke with Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon (Six degrees of separation). Basically you state a person such as Kiefer Sutherland, and find out how many people it takes to get to Kevin Bacon. In this case, it's one degree Keifer was in Flatliners with Kevin Bacon.
