What does someone whos self concious wear surfing??

I used to worry about what I was gonna wear when I went out surfing but trust me once you get out there you have so much fun that you don't even care anymore. But if your still wanting to cover up a bit wear a rashguard and boardshorts.

board shorts are ok. and so are rashguards. but i have seen a lot of girs rock out in the waves while wearing what ever they want. once i saw a girl wearing a santa hat in july / august. dont worry. at the beach and in the line up, nobody cares what you look like as long as youre having fun

You could wear board shorts and a rash guard over your swimsuit, or you could choose a wetsuit.

The more you surf, the less self conscious you will be about your clothes. I have watched LOTS of girls surf, and they wear a variety of outfits, and rash guards and board shorts are okay. And again, when you are really into the waves, you'll forget about what you are wearing.

It's okay to wear boardshorts, and a rashguard. Think about it; everytime you're out surfing, you're burning calories and getting a work out. It's not about how you look in the water, but that you're having fun.

i wouldnt worry about what other people think-----but i'm a guy (and cant possibly understand a females emotions), and its easier said than done!
