I keep reading in stories how men and women have "aristocratic" facial and physical features. I understand how that translates to royal/rich bloodlines or distinguished family names, but what does someone with this features actually LOOK like?

High cheekbones? Transparent skin? Dark eyes? Olive skin tone?

It bugs me when writers just use that one word to describe a person because they may not be good at describing people or have heard it before and are just too lazy to go into detail.

I'm trying to create a royal character, and I refuse to simply say he has "aristocratic" features. I want to describe details but need to know is he has those of an "aristocrat" or of something else.

I'll appreciate those who answer with a real response. Thank you!

  1. I'd go with stereotipically european features, such as tall, a thin nose, pale skin, probably thin lips and high cheekbones.
