What does sweating actually do to help a person lose weight?

i keep hearing people contradict themselves about this because i wanna know. some say sweating does nothing some say sweating does everything. and if so how does sweating help and what does it help.

  2. when u sweat ur basically releasing everything ur body doesnt want like fats and oils. therefore if u dont sweat it stays in ur body making u fat

  4. Sweating is good for a few reasons. First off, it does cleanse the body of toxins. This is why in certain cultures, like Native Americans, saunas are considered holy. Sweating also helps your body regulate your temperature. If we didn't sweat when we exercise or get hot, we'd likely overheat much quicker.

    For the most part, however, I don't think sweating is directly linked to weight lose. Sure, when you sweat your body is losing some weight in the form of liquid. However, almost all that sweat is just water or other liquid you've consumed throughout the day. Basically, if a person didn't sweat that liquid out, they would pee it out.

    There is, though, an indirect connection between sweating and weight lose. Basically, when you are working out and start to sweat, this means you are working hard enough that your body is burning calories. This process is internal and can't be scene.

  5. if your are sweating that means you are doing something to make yourself sweat unless its just HOT. sweating is usually brought on by some kind of activity or exercise, sweating is the bodies on air conditioner, you sweat to cool down.  meaning you are exerting yourself to lose weight.  its not necessarliy the sweating but what you are doing to make yourself sweat.

    Just sweating alone won t make you lose weight because you replenish the H2O you lose
