  1. Thats what tells you the magnification of your scope.

  2. 3 times magnification adjustable to 9 times the magnification with a 32mm end

  3. It tells you that It can have a 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 times magnification, so it is an adjustable scope(nicer) and the 32mm is how big the picture is when you look straight into the scope I like the 3-9x40 or more, faster target acquisition

  4. Tjhe scope is one that has a variable power.  the numbers 3X9 mean that the magnifying power can be varied from 3 power to 9 power.  The number 39 is the diameter of the objective (front) lens measured in milimeters.  The larger the diameter of teh objective lens, theoretically, the more light it can gathere and the brighter will the image appear.  This is also affected to a great degree by the diameter of the scope body and to an even greater degree by the various coatings on the lenses as well as the material from which the lenses are made.

  5. The 3x9 is the power of the scope, 3 times magnification to 9 times magnification. The 32 is the size of the Objective (front lens of the scope in millimeters, the larger this number is the more light transmitted to the eye.
