I've heard the Spanish phrase "ven aca" ("come here") said and written as "ven p'aca". What does the "p" stand for? Which way of saying this is more common?

It is an unoffical contraction for "para".

ven aca- come here.

ven p'aca- loosely translated to "come this way"
