Question:

What does the German word "kribbelts" translate as into English?

I read it on an advertisement in a train station with a man and woman kissing. It simply read "kribbelts?" and I've tried to translate it, but my limited German hasn't found any results yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated as now I'm dying to know what it means (merely because I don't know).

  1. "KribbelN" is a tingling like feeling (like when an insect runs over your skin)

In your case "KribbeltS ?" means:

    Does it tingle?

  2. Hi there, "kribbelts" means to scratch.

  3. according to Babel Fish Translation it means:

    Kribbelts

  4. ok, some right answers, some not so right but good guesses.. lol..

sorry, but kribbelts definitely does not mean "scratches"..

that advertisement refers to the "butterflies in the stomach" feeling or the electricity between two people so "does it tingle" is pretty accurate, another way of translating the verb "kribbeln" would be tickle or prickle.

Hope that sums it up :-D

  5. It means "Does it tingle"?

  6. "It tickles" is precisely what it means. Not scratches.

  7. It means it tickles or tingles. But in this context, it means "Are you heated?" or s.th. (Sorry, my English is limited...)
