What does the LGBT crowd think of Katy Perry (SINGER OF I KISSED A GIRL)?

That "I kissed a girl.." c**p,pisses me off.

It seems like she's just exploiting the L*****n/bi factor to gain popularity and making it seem OK to be a trend-sexual.

using sexuality as a way to be cool has got to be one of the most irritating things up there with pretending to cut and be depressed so people think your hard core.. ><

although she is mentioning the lesbians, its kinda exploiting them to make herself money. i bet she doesnt really feel that way in real life.

catchy tune though.

try darren hayes's song Listen All you People. has a mention about g*y people in the second verse. he is openly g*y.

I think it's fantastic, not because of the words or the tune, but because it represents another stone being removed from the wall that imprisons the LGBT community in their closets. It would have been banned 10 years ago.

As just a song, its ok. Has a nice beat to it. I don't turn it off when it comes on the radio. And she's a cute brunette... XD

Other than that, I don't know. It kinds irks me she's using the g*y image just for popularity, but then again... practically everyone sings "I kissed a girl" so I guess its a good thing its not taboo or 'nasty' so much anymore.

Another con; its getting harder to find fellow lesbians in a crowd of "accepting" straight women. o_O Girls, stop kissing girls unless you mean it. Heh

I think the song has a good beat, but other than that, I think the song is a slap in the face to L*****n community as a whole. If you listen to the lyrics; "It's not what good girls do, not how they should behave."  How nice.  Glad to know that it's breaking down so many barriers by telling people in musical form that I'm wrong for being a L*****n.
