What does the Olympics mean to you?

I think that it is a great sporting event bringing world cultures together.

My friend, the Olympics, the Summer Olympics, means it brings the world together every 4 years to participate in the greatest sporting event on the planet.

Even though, each country speak different a languish and has a different ideology, for 2 weeks, every 4 years, the nations of the world participate under one flag and that flag is the Olympic Flag.

At this moment, the Games of the 29th Olympiad are being held in Beijing. In the next 4 years, the Games of the 30th Olympiad will be held in London and I'll be there, rooting for my home country. The United States of America.

The olympics mean so much to me, I've been watching them since I was 7. I'm normally not a athletic person but there's something about the olympics that just sparks my interest and I love watching them. The sportsmanship and friendship between so many countries is just incredible and the fact that the whole world can come together, cheer together, and win together even for just 2 weeks is amazing to watch. I really like following the athletes too, seeing how they grow and get better and better. I always cry when athletes win their first golds too!
