What does the Playstation 3 sensor controller do?

I just got a PS3 and got the Madden 09. On the game play options theres a controller sensitivity that I can controller by raising the numbers up and down. What does that means? Are my buttons more sensitive the higher I raise it? Or do my player react faster? I raised the bar up and down and really can't tell a difference. Can someone tell me what it's for? It's also on NCAA 09 Football.

Thanks

  1. I thought it was a motion sensor =O

Like for a flying sim, you could fly with it..that'd be coolies.

  2. In some games if you accidentally dropped your PS3 controller during play, the downward monition might be interpreted as a player movement..

the character might respond to smaller movements, not just of the sticks, but turning and movement of the controller itself

Does that make any sense to you?

the difference maybe small,  But try playing Burnout Paradise with the Movement sensing turned on.    ...............Aaaargh!!
