She was invited to the Irish republic over ten years ago and has still not gone. For whatever reason she obviously doesn't feel ready (though Charles went in 2002), but the Irish are lovely people so she probably likes them and has felt sad about the trouble in Northern Ireland.

What a vague, general question. The queen probably doesn't think of 'the Irish' as a collective, single entity.
