WD-40 is a derusting aerosol from HAWK, mainly used for repair and maitenance applications.This is very effective in removing the rust of two mated parts like nuts and bolts,gaskets etc.But now the usage of WD40 is being restricted due to enviromental hazards.

Water Displacement 40th attempt WD40. Just as the name implies it displaces the water. Thats why you spray it into your distributor cap when you have a problem with moisture.
