  1. guessing your first Psych class?

W2P replaces Schaupenhauers W2 Live as the primary motivation behind people's behavior.

Nietzsche was a bit of a nut (i mean in a 'lock me up or medicate me' kind of way) and his sister, who after his death made sure most of this stuff got published, was a bit of a flaming anti-Semite.  THAT must have been interesting.

  2. Lots of background to read - this was one of Friedrich Nietzsche's important works (criticized by some, hailed by others).

Basically, the "Will To Power" is sometimes thought as a struggle against ones suroundings that culminates in personal growth, self-overcoming, and self-perfection.  Some also assert that this includes exerting this power over others.

According to some Nietzsche interpreters, "power" means self-perfection as well as outward, political, elitist, and aristocratic domination.
