  1. You're question is a bit vague, but I'm guessing you want to know what happens if you combine sodium bicarbonate with sodium hydroxide.

    The short is answer is, "not much".  And nothing that you can see.

    The bicarbonate ion, HCO3-, is a weak acid and it will react with the added OH- ions.

    HCO3- + OH- --> HOH + CO3^2-

    But the carbonate ions will react with water to make bicarbonate again.

    CO3^2- + HOH <==> HCO3- + OH-

    The bottom line is that after adding OH- to HCO3- solution there will be a little less HCO3- and a bit more CO3^2-.

    But again, there's no reaction that you could actually see.  It's like mixing two beakers of water.
