Is the internet having a big impact on this years election and how it is run ? Is that a good thing or bad thing ?

Of course it does. Most people don't care about voting, but with ads over almost every page about the candidates, more people are likely to stop and read for a second or two. There is a lot more slander on websites now that interest people. I believe it is a bad thing. Anything on TV can't lie (with the elections of course) It will have a major down fall of the other candidate if slander is spread. On the internet, it gets around to more people quicker and people like you and I can post whatever we want about either candidate and have nothing done to us. We could lie about everything they each stand for and influence a lot of gullible people quickly.

I doubt  that the internet will have much impact on the election. Television is still the most persuasive medium being used.
