What does the army offer you to join?

I was wondering what all does the army/air force offer you to join. How much for college and how much for anything else. I am a junior and was wondering what all they will offer for me to join the air force

Go online and do some research.  This is actually a complex question that you should really take the time to consider before making a final decision.

After your initial research, talk to the recruiters if you are still interested.  They may have other things to offer not on the websites.  Get whatever they promise in writing before you sign anything.  Also be prepared to have them call you daily while you think about it and don't let them pressure you into a decision.

It is an honor to serve your country, but some people (and the military) are better off by not joining if you aren't prepared to make the full commitment.

They want soldiers to protect the country. In some places like Bulgaria, where I come from, when you reach the age of 18, they come and force you to go in the military whether you want it or not. In America we have freedom. You choose if you want to serve your country.

They will offer you the chance to make a difference. They will GIVE you the tools and qualifications to enable you to make that difference. They will give you structure and direction. They will give you mates the like of who you would not get elsewhere. The mates who would lay down their lives for you and you them.

If you go in just for material things and for money to get educated etc then they will probably give you h**l and quite right too

well first they offer you 30,000 for college which is nearly impossible to get , then they offer you crappy meals out in the middle of the desert with bullets flying over your head. Then to really bring em in they offer to ship you home in the finest mohogany box with a flag draped over it and a plaque for your momma.

They also offer to put you as a pawn for the dumbest leader that the free world has ever seen. Rush to your local recruiter and sign up. Its not just a job ....its an adventure

In the Army, you can get a bonus of up to $60,000 dollars. However, that depends on your MOS. But, what you will be able to get is tuition assistance for college and the Montgomery GI Bill. If you choose to go to college while in the Army, you can get benefits from some colleges and of course discounts from different companies. Bases also have colleges that are fairly cheap to attend and still get a good education. All this and a paycheck that you can use however you like.

All services offer the GI BIll.  After that, there are different bonuses and offers from different services.

You should check with a recruiter or the official website of the service you are interested in to get the current offerings.
