  2. We are doing domestic newborn adoption through an agency and will pay a flat fee of $20,000.   The agency covers ALL birthmother expenses and if the birthmother changes her mind and decides to parent the child, we are not out any money...

  3. It really is dependent on the type of adoption you proceed with.   Foster/Adopt programs are going to be different than going through an agency.  Private adoptions through an attorney will vary also from agencies.  

    I recommend contacting a local reputable adoption agency to discuss what types of adoption are available.  You may also want to contact your local Dept of Human Services Children & Youth Division to find out more about foster/adopt programs.

  4. Depends on what adoption choice you make, through the county, private through an attorney, etc.  The county is usually free or they ask for a documentation fee of about $500.
