Typically you will see different colors of flags at the driving range (red, blue, white, yellow), but what yardage do they indicate? I know it depends on where you stand, but I'm sure there's a general rule for their color.

  1. color of flag indicates the position on the green.

for example white may be in the middle of green red may be at the edge of green and so on, happy golfing

  2. Not really, there should be a placard somewhere that tells your for that course what they are.

A skycaddie would also tell you this information from where ever you are on the driving range.

  3. On the course it indicates different pin positions... On the driving range it indicates distances to the green from a specified marker.. red is usually 100 yds, white 150yds, blue 200 yds, yellow 250...

  4. Well the flag color on the course means pin postion and at the driving range the color flags will match the color of the yardage markers to the green on the course red flag =the 100yard marker The white flag = the 150 marker The blue flag= the 200 marker etc etc.....

Or just the posted yardage at the range
