Question:

What does the distal end of the tibia articulate with??

My research has given me several answers all of which are answers on my homework...which is it! Is it the talus, the fibula, the calceneous, the coxa, or the patella..I googled it and one answer was the talus and another the fibula..yet another one said the patella!

  1. Talus and fibula only, at the distal end.

    Proximal end articulates with the patella, femur, and fibula again.

    RE: Dr. Mark, that's kind of splitting hairs. I think it's close enough to an articulation for most peoples' purposes...

  2. the talus is your answer the fibula is not as it has a syndesmosis space.
