expression: does the carpet match the drapes mean?

my carpet in my living room matches my drapes just fine,, why do people ask this

are they dumb

are they insinuating i dont know how to match my living room?

what are someways i can do to make my livingroom more appealing

should i get new drapes?

Does the carpets always have to match my drapes

  1. This can't be a real question~~there's no way.......

    Just an FYI~~It has nothing to do with interior decorating. Think more along the lines of your hair color and go from there.....

Heavens, no, the drapes don't have to match the carpet.  The whole room should have some sort of pull-together theme with the colors "going together" like gray goes with navy blue.  I personally like the carpet a light neutral background, and the drapes part of the color statement.  Try to pick out something that's a focal point - large and eye catchingly beautiful. Make it the first thing you see.  Use the colors in that - thing/art work/rug/pillow - that appeal to your eye because they work together there.

  3. Sorry, that phrase has more to do with your hair (on your head) color and your pubic hair matching. Hence, drapes and carpet.

    I think a good shoe, well placed in their 'carpet', might be fun.
