What does the future hold for Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal
Arsenal holds one of the few football teams in the world that are well known for their development of youth players. Over the years Arsenal have emerged as the team that most young players would want to transfer to in order to harness their talents and skills.
However some might also say that the reason for Arsenal not being as successful as they should be is due to the fact that they rely mostly on their youth and opt to not invest in seasoned experienced players. Arsene Wenger, the manager of the team and the man responsible for the philosophy of introducing youth to the squad, claims that if a player is going to perform then it doesn’t matter how experienced or seasoned he is. He has been hugely successful and feels like he doesn’t need to change his rules and regulations.
Most fan’s would agree with him and say that they are more than happy with the way things are being carried out at the club currently. If Wenger didn’t risks in young players then no one would know of players like Fabregas, Walcott and Gibbs.
However recently there have been two new sensational youngsters who have made their way to the Arsenal senior squad, namely, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere.
Ramsey was bought in from Cardiff. Arsene Wenger faced tough competition from Newcastle and Manchester United when signing the player. At a point in time the player was given a tour of United and was almost ready to put his name on the dotted line. However as soon as he received a tour of the Emirates by Arsene Wenger, Ramesy knew that Arsenal was the club for him. So he signed for Arsenal and was an official member of the squad in the 2008-2009 season.
He didn’t play much in his first year at the club and his only notable performance was the one against Fc Twente in the Champions League. In the 2009–2010 season Ramsey saw way more field time. He played in a handful of matches and even filled in for Fabregas on a number of occasions. However his season was cut short when he suffered a career ending injury against stoke. Ramsey broke his leg in two places but is set to recover and make a comeback by august. Which means that Arsenal would have one more than decent to choose amongst this coming season hence giving Fabregas more breathing space.
The other player is Jack Wilshere. Wilshere has been amongst theArsenal youth team ever since he started his proffesional football playing career. He was a child hood fan of West Ham but after spending so much time at the club he has decided that Arsenal is where his heart is.He has often been compared to Arsenal legend, Liam Brady.
Wilshere is gifted with two feet that are equally as good as the other. He has no difficulties playing with his right or left foot. He has also managed to score some wonder goals for the Arsenal youth team. He is also currently scheduled to make his first senior appearance for the England national team. Wilshere has proved that he can compete at the highest level and the growth time he spent at Bolton has only aided that process. Wilshere would be able to join in the Arsenal attack and would be the ideal player to feature in the FA Cup games. That way other players would get a good break while helping aid the development of Wilshere for the future.
