  1. He/she will manage the following things:

Cart fleet-usually about 72 carts, A full staff of employees-Head golf professional, asst. golf professionals, shop attendants, cart attendants, starter/ranger/marshalls, restaurant employees, superindendant, maintenance staff, etc, tournament operations, membership activities, handicap system, golf course maintenance-this operation alone is spending near 1 million per year for an 18 hole course. the retail operations of the pro shop, marketing and advertising for the course.  Anyway, those are in no particular order and I know forgot lots of stuff.  The point is they have a full days work!  Most people in the golf business work long hours.

when it looks like the course is starting to clear out take out your clubs and play a few holes. but only the ones im good at.

  3. Generally, manages.

  4. he manages the golf course

  5. Golf courses are a retail business like any other.  The manager is responsible to run the business, hire the appropriate staff, do budgets, etc., etc.   I don't know that it's generally a requirement to have a PGA card but quite likely there are very few managers who don't.
