What does the lapd do with a vehicle that was involved in a fatal accident?

Do they impound it or is it possible to some how get sold to someone and not know that the vehicle u bought someone died in/.

I'm sure it would get impounded until the investigation is over, then probably destroy it.........

It depends on what the insurance company and the owner decides what to do with it, yes it is impounded at first but after that anything can be done with it......as for finding what if anyone died in it, just ask the insurance company, they have to disclose this.
