What does the length have to do with the skimboard?

im 200 and i have a bz 40 inch one and i want a higher quality board maybe glass with foam cor or something and alot of the boards have a different length and i was wondering what size should i get

At your weight you are probably looking at a board around 50-55 in. Attached is Victoria Skimboards web address. They are the best boards you can buy for their price. I wouldn't recommend anything more than Victoria Skimboards unless you are at a competition level.
