What does the +/- mean on the standings page for nascar drivers, ex=+3, -1?

  2. Positions gained (+) or lost (-) over the last race in the point standings

  3. thats plus or minus spots from last week

  4. How many spots the driver picked up or lost. For instance:

    Kyle Busch --

    He stayed in first.

    Jeff Burton --

    He stayed in 2nd.

    Dale Earnhardt, Jr. --

    He stayed in 3rd.

    Denny Hamlin + 1

    He moved up one spot

    Clint Bowyer -1

    He moved down one spot

  5. + means he s up in the standings [from 8th to 5th} - means he fell positions [from 8th to 9th}

  6. Shows how many positions in the points standings  they picked up or fell after the last race.
