What does the number on the California Reading List mean?

I'm an incoming 7th grader, and I was wondering what it meant. I got an 11 for the CRL, and I need to know if that's high, average, or low for me.

I also would like to know what it means.

Do the numbers mean the grade level people are reading at, or the age? What does it mean???

It means you're reading at the high end of the reading scale. It's a good thing! :)
