  1. 9=ninth fret over

    7=7th fret over

x=muted note (put your finger on the string with no pressure)

  2. well its really simple,ok.

The letters on the left are the strings.

And the Number are what fret u put your fingers on, since they are on top of each other its a chord so play them all at once.i think the x is u play it open so dont touch the string but u still strum it with the other notes, but im not sure about it.

U might find easier but still sound the same tabs at ultimate-guitar.com

  3. those are the six strings on your guitar but on the opposite order, the lower case "e" is lowest string when you grab your guitar and so on, just follow the order and keep playing from left to right

The ones you have there are played at the same so leave the two strings closer to the ground free and strum the higher four

Hear the song at the same time so you know the timing

  4. The numbers are the frets where you put your fingers.  The x means to lightly touch the string so it is muted when you strum it.  What you are showing is called an E5 (a power chord). BTW, the big E is the thickest string and the little e is the thinnest string.

  5. im trying to learn to read tabs too

  6. The numbers indicate what FRET you place your fingers on (tab won't tell you which fingers to use, you have to figure this out yourself).

If you're looking at your guitar as it's lying in your lap, the lines correspond to the strings going top to bottom.

    e--------- (1st string)

    B--------- (2nd string)

    G-----9---- (3rd string, 9th fret)

    D-----9--- (4th string, 9th fret)

    A-----7---- (5th string, 7th fret)

E-----x---- The "x" means that you mute that string with your finger by placing it on the string lightly.

For the verse, it's the exact same thing as the inro.
