What does the percentage bit on the afl ladder stand for?

but what does the percentage (%) bit stand for?

The Percentage is the difference between Points a Team has Scored and Points a Team has had kicked against them.

(Example a Team has played 1 game and won with a score 110 to 100 points) that makes their percentage 110%

The percentage is the percentage of points that team "A" have scored against the points that team "A" have conceeded. Here is the calculation

After Rd2

For = 200 pts

Against = 150 pts

First you divide F by A (it doesn't matter if A is more that F)(200 divided by 150)

That will equal 1.33333 dadadada...

Then times the result of F divided by A (1.3333333 in this case) by 100. This equals 133.3333...

Therefore, team A's percentage is 133.333333...
