What does the phrase "Through the eyes of art" mean to you?

I'm doing a small project, and I was wondering what other people thought this meant.

  1. Art doesn't have eyes, so I'm not sure what concept that is meant to communicate.  Maybe it means, "viewed as art".  So, for example, viewed as a grocery item, a can of Campbell's soup is about as mundane as it gets.  But viewed as art, it can be the inspiration for Andy Warhol to make a commentary on modern American culture.


  2. I think it means instead of just looking at the appearance of the painting, you should also look at the effort of the person who painted it.

  3. Art...Painting. Sculptures etc...are showing a culture of the artist...You can learn a lot.  All statues of Greek Goddesses are larger women with curves..etc. The book I am writing shows several sides to my culture and cultural experiences'....

  4. The way we perseve the message in the art itself. what we see it and how it makes us feel.

  5. well we only understand somethings through art. by looking at art. its like being a visual learner. its easier to understand it if you look at it than if you were listening to it.
