What does the phrase "air flat" mean???

i hear it all the time when someone says something like "if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, what is it?"

I am not sure exactly what you are asking.  I have never heard the phrase "air flat".  But i have heard the walks like a duck, quacks like a duck what is it.  Most of the time people are being sarcastic when they say that cause you are looking at a duck and asking what is it.........or you just asked a very obvious question so they answer it like that.  I Have also heard the looks like a snake slivers like a snake, referred to a man that is creepy.  Don' t know if this helps but I tried.
