  1. lay off a bit.

  2. "Give me more than I usually get", and what everyone else says.

  3. go easy on me or stop been so hard on me

  4. Think about how you would feel if someone had a rope tied around you and was pulling the rope tight so that you had little room to move. You would just get jerked around. If the rope is pulled tight there is no slack in the rope. If the person would to let loose of the rope and allow some slack you could move around and relax a bit. If you loosen up on a line or  a rope it is referred to as "cutting slack."

If you ask someone to "cut you some slack," you are asking them to back off a little bit, quit being so demanding or strict  and give you a little room to move around, afford you a little freedom, allow you to think, to do your job, etc.

It means more or less the same thing as "give me a break" with more an emphasis on backing off.

  5. It means, "Give me a break."

  6. lay off and give me a break
