What does the ping 192.168.0.1 -l 1000 -n 100 command do?

Usually if you type the command without arguments, it will show you the help details or sometimes its with a '?' or '/?' - without quotes.

That will cause your computer to ping (talk to) whatever is at 192.168.0.1 (usually your router) using 1000 bytes of data and repeat it 100 times.

That is a large block of data and 100 repeats.  Ping with the address and no arguments under windows is a 32 byte ping and is run four times as the default. A good test for checking for dropped packets etc.
