    Usually if you type the command without arguments, it will show you the help details or sometimes its with a '?' or '/?' - without quotes.


  2. That will cause your computer to ping (talk to) whatever is at 192.168.0.1 (usually your router) using 1000 bytes of data and repeat it 100 times.

    That is a large block of data and 100 repeats.  Ping with the address and no arguments under windows is a 32 byte ping and is run four times as the default. A good test for checking for dropped packets etc.
