  4. it tells you nothing... a person is much more than their profession

  5. If they are professional, it usually means that they are good at what they do. They are specialized people. It doesn't mean they are smarter than you, it just means they went to more schooling and were more motivated. I think anyone can become a professional of what they want. The long road to getting there depends on your preserverance, focus, motivation, determination, action, and optimism combined with a goal oriented personality. Also keep in mind that professionals have developed positive habits to form these tactics to getting what they want.

When I see a professional, I usually trust their opinion because they have studied the field, or have practiced the field more than I have. However, I personally think that just because one is specialized does not necessarily mean they are right about everything. I could go to a doctor's office and they prescribe me a medication that definitely doesn't work at all. But I could go to another specialized doctor and they know everything that is wrong with me. Another example is with teachers. One teacher might know their stuff, but they can't reach to their student because they are boring, mean, etc. The other specialized teacher could have an inspiring personality.

Professionalism just indicates one's knowledge and people respect them because of their hard work. But whether or not they will succeed in the field depends on their overall personality and leadership skills.

  6. 1) mathematician- clever

    2) clothes designer- creative imaginative

    3) footballer- athletic, passionate

    4) businessman- learns from mistakes

    5) counsellor/psychotherapist- understanding

    6) engineer- what kind?

    7) pharmacist- smart

    8) teacher- patient

    9) artist- creative
