  1. The lock feature disables any exterior buttons on your phone after the phone is inactive for a certain amount of time.  The purpose is to ensure that you don't press extra buttons or make phone calls unintentionally.  Imagine if, by accident, you hit 3 and send.  Your phone would call #3 on your speed dial without you knowing. You could waste a lot of minutes making accidental phone calls.

  2. idiot

  3. For example if you are running while the phone is in your pocket and its not locked then you might accidentally press a button and mess something up. My mp3 has a lock switch on it and i use it while i am riding a bike, walking,or something like that.

  4. it locks when you turn it on,off

  5. It's for phones that are not flip phones so you don't accidentally press buttons when the phone is in your pocket.
