What does the "med/moy" on a BIC pen mean?

sittin' in SH one day looking at my pen, wondering, what does med/moy mean?

Med is medium (for medium point)

Moy is Moyenne which is Medium in french

You can get a medium ballpoint pen and a fine ballpoint.

I prefer the fine point, I find, it's less likely to leave globs of ink on the paper.
