If Islam thinks she should be killed, I think there should be a giant wall built.

  1. I am sure if someone Islamic in Saudi Arabia would have called the teddy bear Jesus, the West would have made a big scandal about it! It just shows no respect and should be punished but not too severely!

  2. This is not Islam that caused the Teddy Bear problem - its politics and abuse of Islam. The Muslim organisations in the UK have mostly condemned it - which in my book is commendable and demonstrates that generalisations in Islam is unjustified.

  3. I agree with Ipek,

We don't like to name our pets or a teddy Bear with our Profit name "Muhamed" ,

But If I was the manager of this school, or if the manager was really a Muslim , it could easy be solved , I will talk with the teacher and tell her what she doesn't know , and the problem is solved , so easy .

But Killing her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D  that's soooo stupid , Animals are better than us if we think like that ,

Please don't judge something with one bad story,

    Wish u all the best,

  4. I think it's stupid... Since most mothers and fathers name their sons after the Prophet (PBUH), and they cannot deny they're doing this. Who else would they be naming him after?

Some say, "Well, it's the image or likeness of the Prophet they're portraying with the bear..." Bull$hit!

If this is the case, then we should line up every mother and father that named their sons Muhammad, and dish out the punishment - ten fold...

The only other choice for we Muslims is to suck it up and fall in! Quit being the ugly step-children of the world... You're embarrassing me!

Jesus! You're making me want to become a Christian.

  5. uh simon--judging by ur name this question is not directed at you  dumbass.

i say the whole thing is stupid--its just a name.

  6. should have called it fred:)

  7. only gods knows wots goin on there! leave her alone...

  8. she deserves it

  9. <>< They are just nutty! Overreacting a bit?? I think so! This is not about the Teddy Bear, this is just another chance to show how "evil" people from the west are.

  10. I turned the table on my family and some of my friends (small sampling, I know) and asked them if that teddy bear had been named Jesus here in the west, how would we have felt and reacted...

Pretty mush every one shrugged and stated that it would be really tacky but not even worth *confronting* her about let alone killing her!

Now that means that at the very least we don't *get it* from their point of view, it might also mean that we don't feel our God is so small and so sensitive that He would be offended by having His name hung on a beloved children's toy!

The real question becomes just what are the long term results of this going to be??  I joked that we would have the Teddy Bear Wars!  Little teddy bears sitting in those car magnet ribbons for all our boys going off to war...

  11. wotever is going on its not rite.

its got nothing to do wid ISLAM

    its all c**p

  12. I'm not Muslim but I know a little here and there ;)

My first reaction on this was to wonder "What if this had been in an American classroom (yes I know she was British) and the teddy bear had been named Jesus?" Would there be an outrage over the use of a sacred name? Probably, in America, the outrage would have been that the teacher was pushing religion on to the children.

On the other hand if a teacher in an American classroom (yes I know she was British) had named a teddy bear Mohammed, how much worse would that have been? You wouuld have had people saying "Christ! They should have named the bear Jesus!"

  13. I think I am going to order 1 million teddy bears with him holding a sign that reads, "Hi my name is muhammed".  Do you think I can get the military to drop these  bears over the mid east for me?  or should i put them on ebay and make a fortune?  better yet, I think the UK should invade that f up country and teach them a lesson in F ing with the west!

  14. It is so funny to read Christian's comments about Islam and this issue.

The problem is simple : We love our prophet like you love Jesus. We believe in respecting and honoring him and that also includes his name. Naming a teddy bear Muhammad isn't a crime but we think it is disrespectful, that is all.

The teacher being punished for that is plain ridiculous and wishing her death by Muslims  is NOTHING BUT the exaggeration of the subjective media..

I don't know why and how Christians think that Islam is an "evil' and 'terrorist" religion- that would make at least a billion terrorists worldwide , FY I- just based on the fact that Twin Towers and some other terrorist attacks are done by terrorist who happen to be Muslim .

There is a fine point that is going missed here: The Christian people are being led to hate the Muslims because of purely political reasons.

I would suggest you to get to know what Islam is about before " building that wall "

  15. Get her out of Sudan and then put her in prison here for going there in the first place.

  16. I asked one of my Muslim students if naming a teddy bear was sacriligious.  He said yes without a moment of hesitation.  Then, I explained the details about the 7 year olds choosing the name for a class activity, etc. , he changed his mind once he heard the whole story. I think Muslims who live in Western countries don't think the teacher should be killed or even in prison.

  17. going by the protests they want her dead

  18. if it was not so serious it would be laughable it is only a teddy bear ffs

  19. They are so crazy it's beyond stupid. Islam is a dangerous cult.and should not have the status of religion in the west.

  20. I agree with Ipek.. It seems that other people are way to out judging muslims.. they should learn and understand about the the religion before judging Islam.. i think we should not kill the harmful teddy bear, instead change its name to another, other than the Prophet..

For me I keep an open mind as every religion teach us the same thing but the only thing that separate us the God that we believed in..

  21. Sheesh... I'm absolutely appalled and amazed at the same time that any governement agency would do something as stupid as Sudan did.

Sure, the teacher may have made a mistake by not fully knowing that naming a toy after a phophet was a no-no...

But on the flip side it was her STUDENTS that made the choice.  It was just an honest mistake on her part to go through with it.

Anyway... I'm sure its only the radical Islamists that are throwing a fit and most of 'em are probably scratching their heads going "WTF, Mate? She didn't know any better."
