I was told once but have forgotten. I know what 420 means in the U.S., but it is not the same thing. Does it mean bad luck or trouble-maker? Something like that? I can't remember.

Thanks!

  1. 1ST replier is 420 himself.

"char so bees" 420 was and (i think still )a law Section number of India under which "Cheaters/Liers" r punished.due to that it become a trem/phrase.Now we call the Cheaters as "char so bees(420).

  2. Actually ''420'' doesn't mean anything bad, it's actually a card name. It is played in the United States too. In the U.S. it is known as b.s. It's when you lie and put cards down. You may be familiar with the American version of it. So it doesn't mean anything bad. It's just the name of a card game.

  3. Section No. 420  of Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with crimes such as cheating, frauds, etc. It is because in India 420 terms has been associated with frauds. Char sau beesi which means doing fruad has become an idiom in India.
