What does the song "Happiness writes white" mean?

Me and my friend wants to know, we kind of get it, but we'd like specifics, and it would even help for your opinion.

I can't be totally sure about the interpretation about this, but this is what I came up with. 'Happiness writes white' Could mean happiness brings forth pureness, since white could be symbolized as just that. Pureness I suppose in it's more virtual form cannot be described, or said, or truly expressed so he's saying 'but if you wonder why I never wrote you a song' is because to him it's impossible to express it [his feelings/ love for Ariella] He can't trust his 'fingers or tounge' because he doubts he can give the happiness he receives from her true it's true worth in describing it.
