  1. It tells that due process was violated. Jeanne and her family were uprooted from their Los Angeles home by the order of the government without sufficient evidence other than that since they were Japanese, they were considered "the enemy."

    For three years she lived among her own race and wondered if she or her family did any wrongdoing. Besides losing their home, her family lost their two boats, the Studebaker, their precious valuables, and the respect of others.
