What does the surname "Bataller" and "Erese" mean?

I've been wondering about these two and then again I've never heard of what they actually mean. These two names actually is in my family.

Although I couldn't locate a meaning for the surname BATALLER, I noticed that it seems to be Spanish in origin.  I am basing this on the fact that immigrants w/ this surname seem to come from Cuba, Spain and Mexico.
